Final Ideas

"I am strong"
For this photo, I have the idea of having three girls have the word "I am strong' (one word on each arm) on the girls forearm in an upright motion. I would like the girls to be swimmers, so I can capture the water droplets. If I can not get swimmers I will get three random girls. The background will be a plain wall and it will be after school around 3 pm.

"I am loved"
For this photo, I will have the ASB girls be in the Father Downey Garden hugging each other. They will be in formal uniform on May 3rd. The picture will take place after school at 3pm.

MAD Photography

Before

After

For the MAD photography, I decided to do black and white. The reason why I choose black and white is because I wanted to see what I could achieve with this process. I increased and decreased the colors on the original photo (green, yellow, and orange) and turned the picture black and white. I also increased the clarity and the vibrance.

David Hockney

David Hockney is a painter and photographer. When I was looking at multiple photos of his photography, I noticed that a lot of his photos are somewhat distorted. The photos are really interesting and makes the viewer think more about the subject. His photos show another perspective of everyday life and of people. For the photos of people, the photo shows features of the person's face and body. It makes the viewer do a double-take.

On Your Own (Proposal)

For my "On Your Own," I would like to do a technique called long exposure.
Like this photo:

I was thinking about doing it at night in San Francisco. So I could get the lights from the city.
This website has a video about it and where I got the idea from:
https://www.slrlounge.com/creative-photography-ideas/

If this does not work out, I would like to do something similar to this photo.

I would like to a close up of a container that spilled. I would like to capture the texture of the bottle and of the substance in the container.

Ted Talk: David Griffin

In the Ted Talk David Griffin talked about multiple photographers. One of the photographers took a more fun approach on taking pictures. Some took pictures of the issues that are facing our Earth today. And others took pictures of hope for our world. He should the different faces of photography, and how many roads a person can take in the world of photography.
I learned a lot from the video. I knew there were different types of photography and themes, but I never really noticed it before. When Griffin should the pictures of the fish sanctuary it presented a picture of hope for the problems of the world. Somebody doesn't have to be all gloomy to make a movement. This is different, because through the media people only hear about the sadness and anger. But that's not how you fix the issues. Griffin lastly talked about how one photographer took some risky photos of leopard seals. In photography, photographers take risks to get life-changing photos.
Photography can truly change the world through the pictures people can take. From the video people can take a range of themes for the photos. I would like to take pictures that can teach and also influence the world. Influence the people to fix the issues and help the world. I believe those photos are the ones that can help fix the problems.
